“Il Cerro” was born after the careful restructuring of an old rural complex, in the respect of its ancient origins.
Thanks to this renovation the three stone houses have gone back to their former splendour and beauty.

The main apartment is 50 mt distant from the others, comfortably furnished, with wooden ceilings, terracotta floors and old peasant style furniture.

The Ponticelli family, which finds its origins in the Casentino, has been living in a small village outside Cortona, called Fratta for a hundred years.
In this area they keep their family farm, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves.
In our farm we cultivate maize, corn, barley, sunflowers and other forages.
We have a rich Sangiovese vineyard and about 1000 olive trees on the splendid hills of San Pietro a Cegliolo.
For our crop we provide the use of low environmental impact products, which means no use of chemical products which by our judgement only damage the end-consumer.
To guarantee a genuine final product, in the respect of the surrounding environment we are setting out for biological agriculture.
